SASC -Use of TOD in a Diagnostic Assessment (Live Virtual Training)

The virtual course will look at using the Tests of Dyslexia in order to write a diagnostic assessment report according to the SASC report format. It will address how to administer, interpret and report the test results in order to comply with the SASC report format.

Good Practice in Report Writing Pre 16 (SASC Approved)

This SASC approved course is aimed at practising assessors who assess in the pre-16 age group or those working with adults who wish to further their knowledge of assessing in this age group. Delegates should hold AMBDA and/or an APC or have completed a L7 qualification in the assessment and teaching of SpLD learners. The course will broaden and strengthen their understanding of good practice in report writing.

Carrying out an assessment with Pre16 learners with complex needs (SASC Approved)

This SASC approved course is aimed at practising assessors who assess in the pre-16 age group or those working with adults who wish to further their knowledge of assessing in this age group. Delegates should hold AMBDA and/or an APC or have completed a L7 qualification in the assessment and teaching of SpLD learners. The course will broaden their understanding of a range of complex needs and how to effectively assess neurodiverse learners.

Key Tests: WRIT and TOMAL2 (SASC Approved)

This SASC approved course is aimed at practising assessors who assess individuals of all ages and wish to know more about using the key tests: WRIT and TOMAL2. Delegates should hold AMBDA and/or an APC or have completed a L7 qualification in the assessment and teaching of SpLD learners. The course will broaden their understanding of the how to assess using these tests as part of the assessment battery, and how to score these accurately.

Accredited Level 4 - Workplace Assessors Programme (eLearning/Online)

The BDA delivers a Level 4 accredited programme to train work-based assessors. On successful completion of the programme, participants will be able to assess individuals with dyslexia or other Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) for adjustments within the workplace. The aim of the programme is to provide the necessary knowledge and skill for delegates to be able to perform this role and includes the appropriate research and applications in this area.
