My Fundraising Story: Chris Campbell

Monday 31 March 2025

Comedian and influencer Chris Campbell () uses his platforms to share the highs and lows of daily life with dyslexia in a relatable and humorous way.

Chris has become a passionate advocate for us, actively supporting our campaigns and, this year, is taking on his very first long-distance challenge – the London Marathon!

What makes it even more inspiring is that he's doing it all in aid of the 91´óÉñ. As someone with dyslexia himself, Chris is dedicated to raising awareness of the challenges it brings, all while maintaining his signature humour and inclusive approach.

He’s been documenting his training journey, and we couldn’t be prouder of the incredible progress he’s made!"

“I’m doing this to prove to myself and to others that dyslexics are some of the most resilient and hard-working people out there. We face challenges, but we push through, put in the effort, and show that nothing is impossible with dedication. I simply wouldn’t be able to complete this without the support of my dyslexic friends inspiring me and the BDA cheering me on.
WE ARE NEVER ALONE!"

Would you like to spur Chris on and donate to his fundraising page?

Not only is Chris running the London Marathon to raise money for the BDA, he's also working with us to campaign for change, so that everyone with dyslexia gets the support they need to flourish. If you'd like to get involved too, you can find out more below:

As a charity with no government funding, we are so grateful for every pound raised by our incredible fundraisers. Without it, we would not be able to provide our vital free resources and services, such as our national helpline, and create systematic change so that everyone with dyslexia is given the tools they need to flourish. Thank you to everyone who has raised money for us, or donated to a fundraiser, like Chris'.
